About ProductPerch
ProductPerch is a daily launch platform for indie makers and open-source projects, launched in October 2026.
Why we built it
Before building, we read the pricing pages, rules and live listings of ten launch platforms and directories, and the complaints of makers who used them. Three problems came up again and again: free launches buried under paid ones or pushed months into the future, upvotes that could be faked or bought, and “dofollow backlink” promises that the live page did not keep. ProductPerch is designed around those three problems.
How it works
- A fixed daily schedule. Each UTC day has 12 free and 8 paid launch slots. You see your date before you confirm.
- Ranking by upvotes only. One vote per signed-in account per launch. Suspicious votes are removed before results are frozen. Paid launches are labelled and never boosted.
- An honest link policy. The rel attribute on every outbound link follows one published rule, and the page source matches it. See pricing.
- Open source first-class. Three free slots a day are kept for open-source projects, which get a dofollow link without a badge and show their GitHub stars, license and last commit.
- A daily digest. Every launch of the day goes out by email at 08:00 UTC to subscribers who confirmed their address.
Moderation
Submissions are checked automatically when they are submitted and again the day before launch: the site has to load, must not be parked or empty, and must be software or a digital product that is not on our prohibited list. A language model helps flag listings that do not match their website; unclear cases go to a person. Rejections come with a reason.
Who runs it
