Launch calendar
Every UTC day has 12 free launch slots (3 kept for open-source projects) and 8 paid slots. This launch calendar shows how many are left and how many products are booked, so you know your date before you submit.
How the launch calendar works
ProductPerch runs on a fixed daily schedule instead of an endless feed. Each launch day is a UTC calendar day: launches go live at 00:00 UTC, collect upvotes and comments for 24 hours, and are ranked when the day ends. A capped number of slots keeps each day’s list short enough that every product is seen; we would rather open more days than squeeze more products into one.
Free launches are booked by the system. When you submit, we assign the earliest day from tomorrow with a free slot left, and open-source projects also have 3 reserved slots a day. Paid launches choose their own day from tomorrow to 60 days out, using the 8 paid slots. A paid launch can be moved once, at least 24 hours before its date, from your dashboard.
Past days link to their final results, and today links to the live list. Ready to book? Submit your product or compare the options on the pricing page.
Questions about launch dates
Can I choose my launch date for free?
No. Free launches are assigned the earliest UTC day from tomorrow that still has a free slot, so the free schedule stays short and predictable. If you need a specific day, a paid launch lets you pick any day with a paid slot left, up to 60 days out.
What time does a launch day start?
At 00:00 UTC. Launches are live for the whole UTC day and voting closes at 24:00 UTC, when ranks are frozen. The daily digest email goes out at 08:00 UTC.
What happens when a day is full?
Free launches roll to the next day with a free slot. Paid slots are separate, so a full free day can still have paid slots, and the other way around.
Is there a best day of the week to launch?
We do not have enough launch data yet to say, and we will not guess. Days with fewer launches mean fewer products sharing the homepage and digest; the calendar shows how many are booked for each day.
