How products are categorised
Makers choose one primary category when they submit, and our AI suggests one from the product’s own website. Up to three tags add detail, and platform (web, iOS, macOS, CLI, browser extension and more) and pricing model (free, freemium, paid, open source) are recorded separately. Open Source is both a category and a property: any product with a verified public repository and an OSI license shows its GitHub stars, license and last commit, whatever its main category.
