Enhance.Place provides a free online tool and a Windows application for enhancing images and videos. The web interface allows users to upload a single JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 6 MB and 8 megapixels. Users can select a 2× or 4× upscale factor, with output capped at 32 megapixels. The service processes uploads on a server without requiring a login or credits.

For local processing, the Windows app runs on Windows 10 and 11. It uses GPU acceleration through DirectML to handle batch jobs across folders of photos and videos. Files remain on the computer, so the software works fully offline and avoids cloud queues. The app supports NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel graphics cards, with performance scaling based on hardware capabilities and output resolution.

Enhancement functions include increasing resolution, reducing visual noise, and sharpening soft edges. Video processing preserves the original frame rate and audio tracks. The website notes that severe blur or missing detail may not be fully recoverable, and extreme upscaling ratios should be tested on sample clips first.
