What is Omnara?

Omnara is an open-source managed agent platform that serves as a self-hosted alternative to commercial offerings like Claude Managed Agents and OpenAI Agents API. It provides an API to run AI agents across different models and machines while handling tools, secrets, permissions, and streaming responses out of the box. The project is licensed under Apache 2.0 and can be deployed on your own infrastructure at no cost. Alternatively, users can access a hosted version through Omnara Cloud.
