What is Zone?
Zone gives you a quiet visual cue when you sit lower at your desk. Set a comfortable reference height in a fixed webcam view, then let Zone compare your face height against it.
Camera processing runs on your computer. Zone does not record or upload camera footage. The original app source is available under the MIT license.
For designers, developers and anyone who gets absorbed in desk work. Face height is a simple proxy: looking down can trigger a cue, and moving your camera means resetting your reference.
Free to download beta for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 14+ and Windows 11 x64. Mac Developer ID signing and notarization are pending; Windows is unsigned, so installation warnings may appear. See the website for installation help.

Zone FAQ
Does Zone record or upload webcam footage?
No. Camera processing runs on your computer; Zone does not record or upload camera footage.
Which computers can run Zone?
The betas support Apple silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later, and Windows 11 x64 PCs with a webcam. The Mac beta is not Developer ID signed or notarized, and Windows is unsigned.
How does Zone decide when to give a reminder?
It compares face height in a fixed camera view with a reference you choose. When you sit lower, it gives a visual cue. Looking down can also trigger it; it does not measure your spine.
